Versioned contracts and published deprecation notices give integrators a predictable path before a field or operation is removed.
Deprecation rules
A deprecated field or operation remains available until its published end-of-life. Deprecation notices name the replacement and the migration window so clients can move before removal.
Prohibited
Never treat a deprecated contract as authoritative for new integrations, and never remove a deprecated surface without the published notice and migration window.
